Module 1
Business Case for Diversity & Inclusion
Organizations have become increasingly diverse and culture driven in the emerging globalized markets. It is necessary to nurture diversity and also encourage an inclusive environment to optimize the team efforts and tackle the challenges arising in the workplace. After all, an organization is defined by the team, its culture, and its results.
This DEI certification program is designed to equip DEI Practitioners, Business Leaders and Executives, Recruiters, Cultural Leaders, L&D Consultants, and Trainers with the knowledge, skills, and framework needed to cultivate a more inclusive workplace culture. The participants will learn how to identify and dismantle barriers to inclusion, create sustainable change, develop equitable practices, and foster an environment where every voice is heard and valued. Further, it will establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of DEI initiatives in organizations, and how to leverage outcomes and data to drive more sustainable developments.
DEI certifications help individuals gain a deeper understanding of the systemic barriers that different groups face in the workplace. DEI certifications are a popular way for HR professionals, business leaders, and analysts to get qualified and credentialed in DEI and advance their career in the field of Diversity & Inclusion.
DEI certifications are becoming essential for companies aiming to foster an inclusive environment. This knowledge is crucial for implementing strategies to promote equity and inclusivity, leading to improved organizational culture and performance.
The demand for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) certification in India is growing significantly as more organizations recognize the importance of creating inclusive workplaces. As companies continue to prioritize diversity and inclusion, the role of certified DEI professionals becomes even more critical in shaping a more equitable future.
The Outcast Collective recognised the evolving landscape of business ecosystems and helped several organizations to develop personalized programs around diversity, equity and inclusion. It devised a route for the organizations to navigate through the changes, identify issues, implement strategies to gain more representation, and develop the sense of belonging in the workplace. Building on this foundation, The Outcast Collective has created this comprehensive DEI certification program to equip client teams with knowledge and skills necessary to foster inclusive environments. This certification program will commit to empower organizations by sharing best practices, enhancing team capabilities, and promoting sustainable change in the workplace.

Wonderfully Gifted & Versatile’ is the phrase that comes to my mind when I think about Lakshmi. She expertly makes the entire learning experience a remarkable one while leaving the desired impact on the participants.
Her deep understanding of the subject matter makes her delivery style unique and participative. I was particularly impressed by her ability to seamlessly incorporate theories and activities on an impromptu basis to address any complex query raised by the participants without digressing from the main topic. I strongly recommend her & wish her luck in all endeavors.
Divya Abrol, Lead Instructional Designer at LearningMate
Lakshmi, like her name, is a great energizer. She puts life into the most mundane activities and it sure does have its effect. I have observed and learnt a lot from her regarding the preparation before any training session. Her attention to detail is a benchmark that I have set for myself. With her high level of self confidence & positive attitude, Lakshmi endears everyone around her. I would recommend Lakshmi over & over again for any development intervention.

The Outcast Collective was started with a mission to bring those individuals who are on the margins to the center. We catalyze dialogues about LGBTQIA+ inclusion, Gender equity, Caste and fair treatment et al, which have historically stayed out of company boardrooms yet continue challenging the norm.
We recognise and deeply understand that the Diversity-Equity-Inclusion agenda is broader than just headcounts, programs, and policies but is about intent, action, commitment, and culture. With a proven track record in the organizational and people development space, we are now confidently stepping into behavior-culture change management and policy consulting with a vision of co- creating inclusive workplaces.
We enable Affirmative Action and Equal Employment objectives at workplaces for individuals with intersecting and overlapping social identities.
